What is the Holy Ghost "Kemeticly" Speaking?

You know when I lost my faith in God and traveled down that road to find God for myself.  One of the subjects that used to fascinate me the most was the concept and practice of speaking-in-tongues.   I was always taught that when people spoke in tongues that it was a sign that they had received the gift of the Holy Ghost, but when I lost my faith. I really wondered what was the Holy Ghost.

For the record, I spoke-in-tongues a couple of times. I received the gift of the holy ghost one night because I was seriously seeking divine protection in the streets. I remember the night I received the holy ghost I was told to chant the name of Jesus, Thank Jesus or Hallelujah numerous times. After repeating these terms for so long, I began to speak-in-tongues. (Stay with me because there is a reason I am sharing this.), but I was not like my friend Jay.

Jay was a preacher kid like me, but he was a few years older than me and a bit of a troublemaker. I only hung out with Jay when I was younger because he was funny and really an intimidating jerk that no one really messed with, which I would have preferred to side with rather than be on his receiving end.    One of the things that he would do that I thought was funny was making himself get the holy ghost and speak-in-tongues. But, like a lot of people I observed who would be struck by the holy spirit after James got the holy ghost, sand poke-in-tongues a little bit.  As soon as the holy spirit left him, he went right back to acting like a jerk.

Now, when I lost my faith, and shortly after I met my spirit guide.  I stopped associating with Jay and for good reason because everyone who had ties with him was imprisoned.

But, I always wondered how was Jay able to make himself speak-in-tongues and get the holy ghost. I also wondered why didn’t the holy ghost make Jay and other people act right? Another thing I wondered about was as the famed Luisah Teish had noted in her book Jambalaya, was why did the people who spoke-in-tongues have such a “heavily voweled” pronunciation like West African languages?

It took me a while to find this answer but I did after spending a little bit of time with individuals who practiced Espiritismo (Spiritism in the Caribbean).  As I have mentioned before, it was my spirit guide who advised me to start studying the Kemetic tradition, and upon doing so. I found that there were ten major archetype divinities that existed in the Kemetic tradition.  These major archetypes also corresponded to the ten spheres on the Kabbalah.

Later, I found that Spiritism was once a worldwide philosophy, founded by French educator Hippolyte Léon Denizard Rivail also known as Allan Kardec.  Spiritism or Spiritualism (as it is called in the United States).  The Spiritist movement rapidly spread throughout Europe and the Americas in the mid-19th and early 20th centuries because Kardec had documented and codified spiritual communication. Unlike the silly horror movies that show people table rapping with phantoms. Spiritism encouraged spirit communication for the elevation of humanity. So besides proving that spirits were real and that there was life after death, Spiritism introduced the concept of spiritual evolution through ethical and moral living for both the living and the spirit.

Consequently, Kardec wrote that there were ten types of spirits, which to me was very similar to the ten major Kemetic archetypes.  Kardec wrote several books and articles. In an 1858 article about spirits, which has been published in a book called the Spiritist Review – Journal of Psychological Studies, Kardec wrote that:

  1. The spirits are not all equal nor in power, nor in knowledge or wisdom. As they are no more than human souls detached from their corporeal body, they present a variety even greater than that of people on Earth, because they come from all worlds and, among the globes. Earth is neither the most basic nor the most advanced. Thus, there are very superior spirits as there are very inferior ones; very good and bad; very wise and very ignorant; there are those of levity, malevolence, liars, astute, hypocrites, polished, sharp, jokers, etc.
  2. We are incessantly surrounded by a cloud of spirits that occupy the space around us, despite the fact that we cannot see them, watching our acts, reading our thoughts, some to do us good, others to do us harm, whether good or bad spirits, accordingly.
  3. From the physical and moral inferiority of our globe in the hierarchy of the worlds, the inferior spirits are more numerous here than the superior ones.
  4. Among those spirits that surround us there are those that attach to us; that act more particularly over our thoughts, giving us advice, and whose influence we follow unnoticeably. Good for us if we hear the voice of good spirits only.
  5. The inferior spirits only bond to those that listen to them, that give them access and to whom they connect. If successful on dominating someone, they identify with their own spirit, fascinating then, obsessing them, subjugating them, and leading then as one does to a child.
  6. Obsession can never happen but by inferior spirits. The good spirits don’t produce any kind of coercion, combat the influence of the bad spirits, and stay away from when they are not listened to.
  7. The degree of coercion and the nature of the effects it produces determines the difference between obsession, subjugation, and fascination.
Obsession is the almost permanent action of a strange spirit that leads the person to be solicited by an incessant need to act by this way or the other and to do this or that. Subjugation is a moral bond that paralyzes the free will of the one that suffers it, pushing the person to the most reckless attitudes, frequently most contrary to their own interest.
    * Fascination is a kind of illusion produced by the direct action of a strange spirit or by his cunning thoughts. Such as illusion produces an alteration in the comprehension of moral things, leading to misjudgment and to mistake evil for good.
  8. Human beings can always disengage from the oppression of the imperfect spirits by their will power, by the choice between good and bad. If the coercion achieved the point of paralyzing the will and if the fascination is such that it obliterates reason, then the will of a third person may replace it. [pg. 433-434]

Unfortunately, Spiritism did not spread in the United States as it had in Europe and other parts of the Americas. As a result, although Spiritism made a brief impact on American Christianity which can be seen in many Pentecostal influenced churches via speaking-in-tongues and mild possessions, such as ecstatic dances.  Which are all cultural practices that can be found outside of the church and throughout the Afro-Diaspora.   Due to the Protestant church’s bible-only belief, most within the church have not read Kardec’s writings and are unaware of the spirits they are communicating with.

What this means, which I go into great detail in Honoring the Ancestors the Kemetic Shaman Way, is that what most people are calling the holy ghost is actually ancestral spirits and spirit guides associated with one of the ten spirit types.  These ten spirits types according to the Kemetic belief are:

  1. Osar
  2. Djahuti
  3. Sokar
  4. Maat
  5. Hru Aakhuti
  6. Hru
  7. Nebhet
  8. Npu
  9. Oset
  10. Set.

It is important to understand that in Kemeticism, Ra is not the Sun but the life-force or Power of the Divine called chi in the Chinese tradition, prana in the Hindu tradition, and the Holy Ghost in Christianity. This Divine Energy that the Kemetic people called Ra or Rau has a high or pure frequency.  The highest or purest form of this Rau energy is Amun Ra, while the lowest/impurest or more adulterated frequency of the Ra energy is Ra Atum, hence the snake consuming its’ tail as Ouroboros or the Maa Aankh.

Ra Maa Aankh

The highest personification of the Amun Ra frequency is symbolized as Osar, while the lowest is symbolized as Osar’s envious brother Set.

Maa Aankh & Holy Ghost

It is my strong belief that the reason the Holy Ghost has not to change a lot of people within the church is that they do not know how to access the higher frequencies and are afraid of the spirits out of spiritual ignorance.  As a result, most are following and listening to lower ancestral spirits that are associated with the 8 – 10 spirit types.

So, how do you communicate with higher spirits? You have to elevate your consciousness, which is symbolized as the heir Hru (Horus). This is the purpose of Kemetic spirituality and why spiritual development is so important.

Before I proceed, let me first say that this is not an attack on black churches or preachers. I am simply presenting this info. to illustrate that the reason our communities are not spiritually evolving is that we are not tapping into our ancestral traditions, but when we do. It provides a key to how to solve a lot of problems.

Now, one of the ways to communicate with our higher spirits is by raising your consciousness, which the old people used to do through fasting.  Fasting done correctly strengthens the spirit (Higher spirits) and weakens the flesh (lower spirits).  It used to be a time that before preachers preached, evangelists ministered, and elders engaged in any spiritual healing practice, they would fast, pray, meditate and strive to live a more spiritually pure life because this is how we used to practice spirituality in Africa.   This is how you resurrect the Kingdom of Osar.

Please note that the lower spirits are called as such because they are focused more materialistic and selfish.
